Dan Leverington visited his first mine site when he was four years old with his Dad, wearing a hard hat that was too big for his head. He spent the formative years of his life listening to ‘work calls’ in the car, as tenders were won, sites were constructed, and projects were commissioned.
It was a natural progression for him to join a multinational LNG recruitment team straight out of university, recruiting Electrical, Control Systems & Instrumentation Engineers working on substations for the APLNG, GLNG, and QCLNG projects.
The optimism of assisting an industry-wide transition to renewables ran into reality, however, which set him on an eight year path to the US and back to Australia, as an Executive-level technology advisor, inside early-stage startups, building partnerships in renewables energy, and embarking on business ownership.
The Ocelli Group is the Venn diagram of Dan’s experience.
Knowing who can provide a solution to someone else’s problem has been a constant in Dan’s career.
Companies have realised effective ESG strategies need to be implemented due to the multiple commercial and regulatory pressures they are facing, however don’t possess the internal capabilities to execute these transformations while still delivering BAU, and don’t know where to start looking for assistance.
